Love Me Just Enough

I'm working on pulling together a mix of love songs that are about healthy relationships; songs that aren't about stalking and don't show off skeevy consent issues or concerning obsessions and troubling dynamics.

I have a couple things on my maybe list:

Better Together by Jack Johnson
Take Me As I Am by Au Revoir Simone

Any suggestions would be really awesome.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "I really like you" might qualify. It's really cheerful, and full of that new-relationship enthusiasm, but still quite realistic.

I'm sure I have more options - I'll have to come back later. This is a great theme, though! I hope you'll post your final mix details once you've made it.

I was thinking about your comment and I don't think I feel comfortable posting this mix in particular (it's a non-fannish present for someone that I haven't presented yet and feels sort of overly personal, like a really earnest mixtape that you give to your crush in high school or something) but I would totally be up for, like a mix challenge? Like, make a playlist that includes "I really like you" by Carly Rae Jepsen. or make a playlist that addresses skeevy love songs somehow - the skeeviest love songs you can find, the least skeevy songs, the most meta songs - whatever or make a playlist around the prompt: "what is love?". Would you be interested in something like that?

Somebody Loved by the Weepies, Stray Italian Greyhound and City Hall by Vienna Teng, Flood Waters by Defiance Ohio... When Alexander Met Emma by Chumbawamba?

Our Retired Explorer by the Weakerthans is..... a WEIRD love song, but not creepy at all? I really like it but I'm not sure if it qualifies as a healthy relationship or not xD their My Favourite Chords might be better.
